Wind Energy Generation Breaks Record In Spain

Wind generation broke a record in Spain on Nov. 8, delivering 53% of the electricity demand from 3 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with a total production of around 10,170 MW, according to La Asociacion Empresarial Eolica (AEE), the Spanish wind industry alliance.
This production broke a previous record of 40% that was achieved for five hours both Wednesday and Thursday of last week. Furthermore, in the first five days of the month, wind energy production reached 913,251 GWh on the Spanish electrical grid, according to AEE.
In addition, the maximum wind energy output on Sunday reached 11,546 MW at 2:30 p.m.
